GSE 2008 Farewell Dinner

What better day to say farewell on than April Fools day. Part of me was expecting someone to say "Hey you're not going to Australia really, April Fools!" I'm so pleased that didn't happen.

The farewell dinner was hosted by Bexhill RC in the beautiful surroundings of the local golf club. As it is within rotary, we were warmly welcomed and the hospitality was fantastic. Conversation flowed freely between all until the fateful moment arrived.....The GSE 2008 presentation! Would the computer equipment work? Would we remember our lines? Would we still be talking into the early hours of the morning? We needn't have worried too much (come on boys admit it you were worried too) as it went fairly smoothly even if there was a slight confusion as to who the female member of the GSE party was! The room of Bexhill RC members and visitors from various rotary clubs were extremely supportive and I hope that the clubs we visit in Adelaide enjoy the presentation just as much.

At the end of the evening we had time for a few photos which certainly added to our up and coming celebrity status! Well maybe not quite but we can dream! In this photograph from the left is President John Meadows of Bexhill RC, Mike and Rachel Wadey of Eastbourne AM, (Rachel is President and Andy's sponsoring club). Denis Spiller District Governor of District 1120 and the GSE team. Tom by this point was feeling a little camera shy I think!

Thank you again for a wonderful evening and we look forward to seeing some of you again upon our return when we are laiden with amazing stories to tell.
