Well hello!

It's just so busy out here that it's been a while since I have written. I have had the opportunity to do so many exciting things with so many more still to come. Rather than tell you what we have done specifically each day (I'll leave that up to one of the others!) I shall just update you with a couple of things that I have experienced seperately from the boys....and not just those involving wine and chocolate!

I have had the opportunity to visit the house and studio of the artist Hans Heysen a well-known Australian artist. He was particularly recognised for his watercolours of the Australian bush. He even won the Wynne Prize for landscape painting a record nine times! There was the chance to look through original work of both his and his daughter Nora who was famous in her own right with regards to still life painting.

A visit to a local scout gang show was entertaining. The amount of helpers and children involved was exceptional. What I really enjoyed about this was the amount of enthusiasm displayed by the children. It's so refreshing to see everyone really enjoying what they do. So many smiling faces even when things didn't go according to plan.

My vocational opportunities have been varied and all have been excellent in their own right. I could take this time to rant about how much the British education system needs improving in comparison to Australia but I would be on here forever! As well as the school visits my theatrical exploits out here have been second to none. If you want to know anymore then you will just have to book me for a presentation!!!!

Of course an entry from me wouldn't be complete without at least one reference to a liquid beverage so if your ever out in Mildura check out the Mildura Brewery. Lagers brewed on site that taste wonderful...well it would have been rude not to sample some wouldn't it? - Cheryl (Yes I know the picture is sideways.....blame the beer!)
